Designed by Gio Forbice, young and talented Italian designer, Forfex is a sneaker brand.
It was born in 2006 and immediately connected with Slam Jam, Italian company that takes care of the worldwide distribution.
The complicity between those two realities let Forfex be in a short time not only a sneaker brand, but a true life philosophy.
Simply pert, dynamic and often ironic, those shoes are targeted to a transversal audience that wants to prove its style and personality daily.
Highlights of the brand are styles like the DARK SIDE, simple sneakers realised patterned, in canvas or in soft leather. There are also some more sophisticated styles, like the SEX STUDS, the KICK IT or the KILLERS, all realised adding an element Gio Forbice loves to put in most of his works: studs.
Last but not least, we cannot list the SPACE BOOTS: between an après-ski boot and a sneaker, this style literally drove everybody crazy and many designers are going to create some special collaborations with them.
FORFEX is so unique that since the beginning many international artists immediately felt in love with it.
Any example?
Madonna has chosen Forfex for her dancers in her Celebration video, MTV vjs are wearing them everyday, Sasha Grey has ordered a special style made especially for her.
Actually with Sasha things were further off and now the beautiful American actress is a Forfex testimonial. Shot by Lele Saveri, the Forfex first International advertising campaign has Sasha as protagonist on publications such as Vice Italy, Pig Magazine, WAD, i-D, and more.
But this is only the first step.
Inspired to the Malcom McLaren The Great rock’n’Roll Swindle documentary, the campaign is divided into some lessons too.
The first one has seen involved an amazing Gio Forbice himself.
The second one hosts Sasha.
