While i was looking at the mediastorm website i saw matt eich’s
(http://www.matteichphoto.com)
reportage “love in first person”
it caught me!
(In Love in the First Person, Matt and Melissa, with help from their friends, document their life together as they share their thoughts and fears on the sudden changes in their future. They come to realize that, as Matt says, “Nothing good comes without some sort of struggle,” and that beginning a life together is as much about faith as it is about commitment.)
the images are really strong, intimate and personal.
pretty strong
he caught his life and what was happening with gracefully strong pictures
don’t wanna bug you with tons of blah blah blah

when you are looking for something that motivates you, something that really makes you open your eyes, wide open!
stop your mouse here
you will cry, you will totally understand what a photograper is, i mean expecially what a photographer HAS to do for a pic.
usually we stop our attentention on the image, but we forget what is behind that image

I always loved pictures of punk hc concerts; I always enjoyed myself too taking them because this is the world I come from and the music I grew up with.
Take Glen E. Friedman’s works, or pictures on the old diy fanzines: I always looked at them with total respect and almost as if they were religious images.
Then I bumped into Jess Edward Baumung’s website and I’ve been swept away by his pictures. It almost feels as if you were there too, with his ability of making his pictures and the music that he portrays one thing.
Take your time to go through every image, as each one of them hides details that you can discover with a closer look.

There’s no need for more words, simply because what I see is the great capability of capturing music and translating it into images and that’s not easy… why? Have you ever been to a hard core concert?
Enjoy

Using words to describe something that fascinates you, something that makes even your guts vibrate is so hard.
And the reason it is hard is because whatever word you pick to describe it feels useless, feels inappropriate, because words are not meant to describe ecstasy. Ecstasy is a feeling, period.
Rae Martini.

The love for his works is visceral.
I can’t use a proper art critic vocabulary, as I am no art expert, so all I can say is that Rae’s works give me a non-specified flesh-vibrating, teeth-clenching feeling.
I was a skater, for almost 20 years, and spent my whole adolescence in the street, consuming my bones and smelling, listening, and breathing the streets I skated on my board.
And those same smells, those colors, those sounds that are so familiar to me I find them today in Rae’s works.
Each canvas is a concentrate of these experiences, each canvas comprises all of this in such a strong way that words can’t describe.
Rae expresses his universe and his experience with no filters, and in his works you find the STREET.
here are some of my faves from his website

as i’m constantly moving through the web searching for blogs and websites that satisfy my “photographic need ” i lost myself in this blog and watched pics one by one because……i mean you “must” lose yourself too
awesome images
awesome photographers
awesome consciousness of what photography should be.
we are constantly bombed by images that basically we don’t care about and it seems that most of the people out there lost their perception to understand what photography and art are about.
can you tell me what is the difference between a bad photo and a good one?
can you tell me if the man behind the camera is talented or simply a guy with a lomo in his hands clicking because it is the hype?
here lies the answer!
enjoy
